The project is managed through donations and philanthropic initiates by the board of governors and donors around the world.

 

Koohi Goth Women Hospital is focused on treating diseases like obstetric fistula also known as Vesicovaginal Fistula(VVF), rectovaginal Fistula (RVF) and other gynecology-related problems for all communities in Pakistan especially in the rural areas. This is a 200-bed hospital that provides free of cost medical services to incoming patients and has expanded an outpatient department (OPD) that serves approximately 450 patients per day.  A Neo-natal unit has been added with a capacity of 20 beds. The hospital’s initiatives have been recognized internationally including by the United Nations Children’s Fund, United Nations Population Fund, International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Global Clinton Initiative, The Lancet, and the BBC.

 

Malir University of Science & Technology is an extension of the venture of Zafar & Atia Foundation Charitable Trust to provide quality university level education to the rural community that has no access to high level education in their area. Malir University provides free of cost undergraduate education in the field of medical technology, Economics, Development Sciences and Education. Two new faculties are in works including School of Pharmacy and Doctor of Physiotherapy. Several other education programs running include Institute of Nursing, Atia School of Midwifery, Atia School of Paramedics.
